Stumble Guys is the party battle royale you play with 32 players scrambling through chaotic obstacle courses — and GameLoop is the official PC client. That means no ban risk, no workaround needed, and Scopely updates the GameLoop version in sync with mobile. This guide covers installation, optimal settings, keyboard keymapping, and fixes for every issue you're likely to hit.

Why GameLoop for Stumble Guys?

GameLoop is Scopely's official PC platform partner for Stumble Guys. The game is listed directly in GameLoop's Game Center and maintained there. Unlike third-party emulators where developers turn a blind eye, here the developer actively supports the GameLoop release. That matters for three reasons:

Other emulators (BlueStacks, LDPlayer) work too, but GameLoop has the dedicated integration — so it's the natural first choice.

System Requirements

Stumble Guys is one of the lighter 3D games you can play on PC via emulator. The following minimums will get you into lobbies reliably:

MinimumRecommended
OSWindows 7 64-bitWindows 10/11 64-bit
CPUDual-core 2.0 GHzQuad-core 2.5 GHz+
RAM4 GB8 GB
GPUIntel HD 4000 / AMD Radeon R5GTX 1050 / AMD RX 560
Storage10 GB free20 GB free
DirectXDirectX 11DirectX 11/12

If you can run Brawl Stars or Clash of Clans on GameLoop, your PC handles Stumble Guys without issue.

Step 1 — Download and Install GameLoop

  1. Go to gameloop.com and download the installer (approximately 8 MB).
  2. Run the installer with administrator rights. GameLoop installs to C:\Program Files\TxGameAssistant by default. If your system drive is nearly full, change this during installation.
  3. Launch GameLoop after installation completes. Let it finish the initial engine update — this takes 2–5 minutes and only happens once.

Step 2 — Download Stumble Guys from Game Center

  1. In GameLoop, open Game Center (the grid icon at the top).
  2. Search for Stumble Guys in the search bar — the game appears as an official listing.
  3. Click Download. The game downloads approximately 800 MB–1.2 GB depending on the current season's assets.
  4. Click Play once the download completes. Stumble Guys opens inside the GameLoop virtual display.

Step 3 — Sign In to Your Account

On first launch, Stumble Guys prompts you to sign in or play as a guest.

Recommended: link a Scopely account or Google account. This saves all your progress server-side. You can then switch freely between your phone and PC without losing anything — gems, skins, trophies, Stumble Pass progress, and your Stumble Name all sync instantly.

If you have been playing on mobile with a guest account and want to transfer it:

  1. On your phone, go to Settings → Account → Link Account.
  2. Connect to Google, Facebook, or create a Scopely ID.
  3. Sign in with the same credentials on GameLoop. The account merges automatically.

Step 4 — GameLoop Settings for Stumble Guys

Open GameLoop Settings (the gear icon, top-right) before or during gameplay. These settings apply to the virtual device running Stumble Guys, not Windows system settings.

Display Settings

SettingRecommended value
Resolution1280×720 (720p) — matches the mobile render scale; 1920×1080 adds no visual benefit and increases GPU load
Rendering ModeDirectX 11 (default) — if you see a black screen on launch, switch to DirectX 9
Frame Rate60 FPS
High Frame RateEnable if your GPU can sustain 60 fps without drops
DPI240

Performance Settings

SettingRecommended value
CPU Cores2–4 (2 is sufficient for solo play; use 4 if your CPU has 6+ cores)
RAM2048 MB (2 GB allocated is plenty for Stumble Guys)
VirtualizationMake sure VT-x/AMD-V is enabled in BIOS — GameLoop will warn you if it's off

In-Game Graphics

Inside Stumble Guys itself, go to Settings → Graphics:

Step 5 — Keymapping

Stumble Guys controls are designed around a virtual joystick (movement) and two buttons (jump, dive). GameLoop translates these to keyboard and mouse naturally.

Default keymapping GameLoop applies:

ActionKey
Move leftA
Move rightD
Move forwardW
Move backwardS
JumpSpace
Dive / SlideShift or Left Mouse Button
Camera rotateMouse (right-click drag)
EmoteE

This layout works immediately for most players. If you want to customize it:

  1. Click the Keyboard icon in the GameLoop overlay (visible in the top bar during gameplay).
  2. Drag keys to reposition them or click a binding to reassign it.
  3. Click Save.

Tip on the dive key: In Stumble Guys, timing your dive (Shift) is what separates good runs from crashes. On keyboard it is more consistent than tapping a touchscreen because you get a precise keypress with no mis-tap delay. This is the biggest advantage of PC play.

Cross-Platform Play

Stumble Guys uses cross-platform matchmaking by default — PC players on GameLoop are in the same lobbies as mobile players. Scopely does not segregate emulator users into a separate queue. You will be matched with touch-screen players, which is normal and intended by the developer.

There is no built-in advantage from GameLoop beyond the physical precision of keyboard and mouse. Character collisions, obstacle hitboxes, and physics are identical across platforms.

Stumble Pass and Purchases

Your Stumble Pass (seasonal battle pass), gems, and cosmetics are all tied to your Scopely/Google account. Buying the Stumble Pass on GameLoop works via Google Play — you need a Google account with a payment method attached, or you can purchase Google Play credit and redeem it.

Purchases made on mobile are visible on GameLoop and vice versa. There is one unified currency pool per account.

Troubleshooting

Black screen on launch

Switch the rendering engine in GameLoop Settings: change DirectX 11 → DirectX 9 (or the reverse if you're already on 9). A graphics initialization failure during the first run is the most common cause of the launch black screen.

"Device not compatible" during download

This rarely happens with Stumble Guys since it is in GameLoop's native Game Center, but if it appears via a manual APK install attempt: use the Game Center download path only (Step 2 above), not an external APK.

Game stutters or drops below 30 fps

Open GameLoop Settings and increase RAM allocation to 3072 MB if your PC has 8 GB or more. Also check that no other apps are using hardware video acceleration in the background (streaming software, browsers with hardware acceleration).

Stumble Guys updates but progress resets

You are likely signed in as a guest on GameLoop and on a linked account on mobile. Go to Stumble Guys Settings → Account → Link Account and connect the same Google/Scopely account you use on mobile. Progress merges to the linked account immediately.

"Unable to connect to server"

  1. Check the Stumble Guys status page or community reports for server issues — Scopely servers occasionally go down during season launches.
  2. If servers are fine: restart GameLoop, then reopen Stumble Guys.
  3. If the issue persists: flush DNS (run ipconfig /flushdns in Command Prompt as administrator) and retry.

Controls feel delayed

In GameLoop overlay, open Keyboard Mapping and verify the action keys are assigned correctly. If the Shift key is bound to Windows "Sticky Keys" shortcut, press Shift 5 times to get a dialog and then disable Sticky Keys in Windows Accessibility settings. After disabling, the Shift bind for dive will be instant.

VT-x error on launch

Enable VT-x (Intel) or AMD-V (AMD) in your BIOS. On most modern PCs this is in Advanced CPU Settings or Virtualization. Save and reboot. GameLoop requires hardware virtualization; without it the virtual Android device cannot start.

GameLoop crashes before Stumble Guys opens

See the GameLoop Not Opening Fix guide — the root causes (Hyper-V conflict, AV quarantine, corrupt install) apply regardless of which game you're trying to run.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my mobile account work on GameLoop? Yes. Link your Scopely ID or Google account and all your progress transfers instantly. Stumble Guys stores everything server-side.

Is GameLoop safe to download? GameLoop is published by Tencent Games and is the same emulator used for CODM, PUBG Mobile, and other major titles. It is safe. Download only from the official gameloop.com site.

Can I be banned for using GameLoop? No. GameLoop is the official PC platform for Stumble Guys. Scopely explicitly supports it. Using it is no different from playing on a Samsung device.

Do I play against other PC players or mobile players? Stumble Guys uses a single cross-platform matchmaking pool. You are in lobbies with mobile and PC players together.

Can I use a controller instead of keyboard? Yes. Connect an Xbox or PlayStation controller before launching GameLoop. Open the Gamepad Mapping section in GameLoop overlay and confirm the stick and button assignments. Stumble Guys reads controller input natively.
