Playing COD Mobile on GameLoop with a mouse feels wrong at first. The camera spins wildly. Shots that would land perfectly on mobile go wide. Flicking feels impossible.

The reason: COD Mobile's default sensitivity values are calibrated for a touchscreen gyroscope and virtual thumbstick — not a mouse. A mouse delivers precise absolute position input; the defaults expect imprecise relative touch gestures. You need to rebuild your sensitivity from the ground up.

This guide gives you the correct starting points by mouse DPI, explains why the defaults are wrong, and teaches you how to refine from there.


Why Default Sensitivities Are Wrong for Mouse

On a phone, "Camera Sensitivity: 100" means something specific: dragging your thumb 5 cm moves the camera roughly 90 degrees. That's calibrated for human thumb range of motion on a 6-inch screen.

On a mouse at 800 DPI, moving 5 cm generates 1,574 counts of raw mouse data. That 5 cm at sensitivity 100 now spins the camera 270+ degrees — complete over-rotation on every small movement.

The fix is not to drop mouse DPI. Lowering DPI past ~400 introduces sub-pixel rounding that hurts precision. The fix is lowering in-game sensitivity until mouse movement maps cleanly to on-screen rotation.


These are tested starting points. Treat them as a baseline, not a final answer — your desk space, mouse pad size, and personal style all affect the ideal values.

How to Apply These Settings In-Game

  1. Open COD Mobile → tap Settings (gear icon top-right)
  2. Go to Sensitivity tab
  3. You'll see separate sliders for each view mode
  4. Set Camera (General) first — this is the hip-fire camera rotation speed
  5. Then set each ADS scope individually, working from lowest zoom to highest
  6. Turn Gyroscope OFF — mouse and gyro conflict; combined input causes drift

The Scope Progression Rule

Every higher-magnification scope should have a lower sensitivity than the one before it. The math: a 4× scope already magnifies the view 4 times, so any camera movement appears 4 times more dramatic. You compensate with 4 times less sensitivity.

As a rule of thumb:

If your 4× feels the same as your hip-fire, your scopes are too fast. Long-range shots will feel like luck rather than skill.


Converting Your Phone Sensitivity to PC

If you have good muscle memory from mobile and want to stay close:

Step 1: Note your current phone sensitivity values (all scopes) Step 2: Find the ratio: PC value = phone value × (phone_dpi / 240) × 0.4

The 0.4 factor accounts for the difference between touchscreen input (thumb drag rate) and mouse input at the equivalent DPI. It's an approximation — real feel depends on mouse pad size, arm vs. wrist aiming style, and in-game rendering frame rate.

Example: Phone at 100 sensitivity, phone screen DPI ~400 PC starting point: 100 × (400/240) × 0.4 = 66.7 → round to 65

This gives you a starting point, not a perfect match. You'll still need to test and adjust.


Testing Your Sensitivity — The Correct Method

Don't test in a real match. Use training modes where deaths don't matter.

Test 1: The 90-degree snap test In training range, hold still, then swipe your mouse left until the camera rotates exactly 90 degrees. You should need roughly the same distance as one hand-width on your mouse pad (assuming a standard 30cm pad). If it takes only 3 cm, sensitivity is too high. If it takes the full pad, it's too low.

Test 2: The headshot tracking test Set up bots in training range. Try to hold your crosshair on a bot's head while it runs laterally. At the correct sensitivity, you should be able to track without over-correcting. Constant left-right correction loops = sensitivity too high.

Test 3: The ADS consistency test ADS onto a target. Fire 3 shots. Your first shot and third shot should land within 10 cm of each other on a stationary target at 50m. If recoil control is impossible, your ADS sensitivity is too high.


GameLoop-Specific Settings

In GameLoop Emulator Settings (before the game)

  1. Open GameLoop → gear icon → Engine
  2. Set Graphics: DirectX (for most setups) or OpenGL (if black screen)
  3. Set Frame Rate: 60fps (do not use 90fps unless your GPU is RX 6600 / GTX 1070 or better — frame rate instability kills aim consistency)
  4. Resolution: 1280 × 720 — this is what CODM optimizes for on GameLoop; higher resolution at the same GPU power = lower FPS = input lag

Keymapping

GameLoop includes a CODM-optimized keymapping preset. If it's not applied:

  1. Launch CODM in GameLoop
  2. Click the keyboard icon in the right toolbar → Smart Controls
  3. Select the CODM preset

GameLoop Mouse Sensitivity Multiplier

GameLoop has its own in-app mouse speed slider separate from the game. Find it in: GameLoop Settings → Control → Mouse Sensitivity

Set this to 100% (default). Do not use this slider to compensate — adjust inside the game instead. Using the emulator slider means your in-game sensitivity display won't reflect actual feel, making it harder to replicate settings.


Common Mistakes

"I'll just lower mouse DPI to 100 so I can keep high in-game sensitivity" Don't do this. Sub-400 DPI introduces pixel skipping — the cursor jumps rather than moving smoothly, which shows up as micro-stutters in your aim. Lower in-game sensitivity, keep DPI at 400+.

"I set all scopes to the same sensitivity as hip-fire" This is the most common mistake from phone players. Hip-fire and 8× scope should never feel the same. Long-range shots become guesswork.

"The sensitivity feels right in training but wrong in matches" Training range uses bots with predictable movement. In real matches, pressure raises adrenaline and you'll naturally be slightly faster. If you're consistent in training, trust it and play more matches — the feel normalizes.

"I keep changing sensitivity every day" Pick a starting point, play 20 matches with it unchanged, then decide. Sensitivity only starts feeling natural after your muscle memory adapts. Changing it every session means you never adapt.


Emulator-Specific Matchmaking Note

GameLoop routes COD Mobile PC players into emulator-only matchmaking — you compete against other mouse/keyboard players, not touchscreen mobile players. This matters for sensitivity: your opponents also have mouse precision, so the advantage you're building is real and the baseline expectation is higher.

For ranked play, this means sensitivity calibration matters more than on mobile. A properly calibrated mouse setup is a significant edge in emulator lobbies.


Sensitivity Profiles for Different Playstyles

Aggressive / Close-Range Player (MP5, Fennec, Shotgun)

Prioritize camera and hip-fire responsiveness. Use the higher end of each range.

All-Rounder (M4, AK-47, DR-H)

Middle of each range. Balance between mobility and mid-range control.

Sniper / Long-Range (DL Q33, Locus, Kilo Bolt-Action)

Prioritize low scope sensitivity. Hip-fire can be slightly higher for mobility.


FAQ

Q: My sensitivity was fine last season but feels wrong now. Did something change? A: CODM patches sometimes include sensitivity resets or tweaks to the sensitivity math. After major updates, always re-check your settings against this guide.

Q: Should I use a higher DPI and lower in-game sensitivity, or lower DPI and higher in-game sensitivity? A: Keep DPI at 800 and adjust in-game. This is the most reliable approach for consistency. The in-game slider is a cleaner control point.

Q: My hands are large / I use a large mouse pad. Do I need different settings? A: Large pad + wrist aiming → you can go slightly higher on sensitivity (more available mouse travel). Large pad + arm aiming → lower sensitivity works better (you're swinging more arm range per motion).

Q: GameLoop keeps resetting my key mappings after updates. A: Known issue. After each GameLoop update, re-enter the game, go to Controls → check mappings. Re-apply your preset if needed.
